Jeff Alessi returned to the 250 class and finished a solid 8th overall. I wouldn't doubt that each week Jeff gets closer and closer to the podium. Keep it up kid!
Winner of A1 was a resurgent Jake Weimer. Next week Jake will visit the site of his first SX win and with momentum and confidence on his side the rest of the field had better watch out.
Watching JLaw is practice made my mouth drop. JLaw was doing things with ease and really looked like he had the field covered. JLaw vs Dungy never materialized... Phoenix anyone?
It may look like a "boner air" but Trey is actually huckin it trying to make the triple quad section before the big triple down third base line. With a poor result in the main I'd look for Canard to come out swinging next week.
Chris Blose rode solid all day and finished the main 4th overall. Chris felt a little off on the new (more powerful) race bike but with another week of practice and Phoenix being his home race I'd say Chris will be super fired up for round 2.
JLaw was trying so many rhythm combinations that would sometime give him little run up to the big triple. Here he shoots for the upper deck to try and make it... no prob.
Is Dungy a diva? With rumors of Dungy switching gear because ONE sponsored JLaw, it sounds a bit ridiculous on his part. Get grip Ryan. Try winning a championship before you become a "Rockstar".
Ryan Sipes looked very consistent and poised. With a bit of anger and aggressive riding we might see a new side to Sipes. Keep your eye on him folks.
Steve Boniface had very good starts and finished 4th in his heat. With another 4th place start in the main things were looking good until a bump from another rider took him out on Lap1. Next....
Davi Millsaps had yet another Anaheim he'd rather forget. Good thing is-is there are 2 more Anaheim's to get it right. Nice goggle strap by the way.
Who know what exactly happened to James during the main, I think he missed a shift, but he was not very happy and wasn't afraid to show it. There goes the perfect season.
Villopoto started the night off very promising but a few bobbles held back the results he was looking for. It's a long season and I'm sure RV will visit the podium soon.
Ivan Tedesco looked like a bucking bronco to me. Can somebody check his rear suspension please. It's time for Ivan to release the inner beast that made him a 2 time SX champ.
Alessi rode smart and stayed on two wheels the whole night and will ride himself into shape. I think by San Diego we'll see a rejuvenated Mikey Hypey.
DNQ. A couple of crashes kept Travis Preston out of the show but at least he gets to go back to the rig and get rid of his sorrows with a few shots of Jager.
Chad and Stewart were playing cat and mouse during the main only to tangle and ruin the fight. At the time of the incident I'd say Chad had the upper hand in the battle.
